TeeCast legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how TeeCast handles information for accounts, golf tournaments, registrations, scoring, communications, and payments.
Effective date: July 14, 2026
1. Scope and roles
TeeCast provides tournament-management tools to golf clubs, event organizers, administrators, players, purchasers, sponsors, scorers, and spectators. The tournament organizer controls many event-specific decisions and records. TeeCast operates the platform and processes information needed to provide and protect the service.
An organizer or purchaser may give TeeCast information about other participants. They are responsible for having appropriate authority to provide that information and for giving participants any event-specific notices.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, including name, email address, password credentials in protected form, role, and account-security records.
- Registration information, including purchaser contact details, participant names, optional contact details, handicaps, team information, add-ons, donations, and notes.
- Tournament information, including clubs, courses, schedules, pairings, groups, scorecards, scores, standings, and result-verification history.
- Sponsor and uploaded content, including sponsor contact details, websites, descriptions, logos, course or tournament branding, and scorecard images.
- Transaction information, including totals, payment status, refunds, disputes, and identifiers or records supplied by payment providers. TeeCast does not receive full card numbers entered on a payment provider's checkout page.
- Communications information, including message content, recipient email addresses or phone numbers, delivery status, and responses such as opt-out requests.
- Technical and security information, including IP-derived rate-limit records, browser or device information in security logs, session activity, and error or operational records.
3. How we use information
- Create and protect accounts and verify access permissions.
- Operate registrations, rosters, payments, tournament workflows, scoring, leaderboards, communications, and event support.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate submissions, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
- Provide customer support, maintain records, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and accessibility of TeeCast.
4. When information is shared
We may share information with:
- The club or tournament organizer responsible for the event.
- Service providers supporting hosting, databases, payment processing, file storage, text messaging, security, and related platform operations.
- Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect safety, investigate misuse, or defend legal rights.
- A successor organization if TeeCast is involved in a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate protections.
TeeCast does not sell personal information for money.
5. Public tournament information
Public event pages may display tournament details, participant or team names, pairings, tee times, scores, standings, results, sponsor names, logos, websites, and other event content selected by the organizer. Do not submit information for public display unless you are authorized to do so.
6. Cookies and browser storage
TeeCast uses cookies or similar browser storage needed for sign-in, security, preferences, impersonation safeguards, and temporary scoring-draft recovery. At this policy's effective date, TeeCast does not use third-party advertising cookies or track users across unrelated websites for advertising. Because that cross-site advertising tracking is not performed, TeeCast does not currently respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
7. Communications
TeeCast and tournament organizers may send registration, payment, schedule, scoring, or other event-related messages using the contact information provided. Promotional messages must use any consent required for that channel. Text recipients can reply STOP to opt out of further texts where supported. Some essential service or transaction notices may still be sent when permitted by law.
8. Retention and security
Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain tournament and transaction records, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Different records may have different retention needs. TeeCast uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and requests
Account holders may review or correct certain information within TeeCast. For event registration, roster, score, or organizer-controlled information, contact the tournament organizer first. For TeeCast account or platform privacy questions, contact the organizer or administrator connected with your account and ask them to route the request to TeeCast. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about disclosures. TeeCast may need to verify a request before acting on it.
10. Children
Children under 13 should not create their own TeeCast accounts or submit personal information directly. A parent, guardian, or authorized tournament organizer should handle information for a minor and provide any consent required by law. Contact the organizer or administrator connected with the event if you believe a child submitted information without appropriate authorization, and ask them to route any platform request to TeeCast.
11. Changes to this policy
TeeCast may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. A new effective date will be posted here, and material changes may also be communicated within the service or through account contact information.
